Outwest Campground & R.V. Park is a family owned and operated
facility, which has grown from a four generation family farm
operation in the foothills of West Central Alberta. Built
in 2004-2005 by David and Darlene McDonald, it is situated
on family owned land which borders the Rocky Mountain Forest
Reserve, above the beautiful Prairie Creek valley. Daughter
Kerry will manage day to day operations and will reside full-time
on site. David and Darlene are long time farm operators in
the area. Kerry has been employed for several years in Southern
Alberta in various aspects of the hospitality industry.
The first phase is complete with over eighty
spacious stalls, almost all of which are drive-through. Most
stalls are fully serviced with power and water. A mixture
of thirty amp and fifty amp services are available. In the
center of the campground, is a large (almost two acre) park
for your enjoyment. This beautiful quiet space has strategically
placed tables and benches, along with game areas. A central
dumping station is easily accessible for sewage disposal.
Built to accommodate the largest of recreation vehicles, Outwest
prides itself on its user friendliness, from it’s easy
to park stalls to its helpful and friendly staff. Two separate
shower and bathroom facilities, laundry, large parking lot,
and a small retail space for those items you forgot to pack,
compliment our service. A high pressure wash station lets
you take the mud off your machine before heading home and
dry fire-wood is available for your evening enjoyment. Two
small group areas are built into this first phase with larger
ones coming soon. A number of stalls are designed to have
all season availability.
Come and experience the wonderful scenery
of our Eastern Slopes by bike, A.T.V., horseback, on foot,
or from your campsite, in Alberta’s newest camping facility,”
built just for you”.
